I love lace stitchery, but I prefer the patterns to be relatively simple and not knit with lace weight yarn – too fine. I like the versatility and weight of fingering yarn for these types of projects. This lovely Garter and Lace Shawl fits the bill for me. My decision to make it was confirmed when I found some hand dyed fingering yarn by Riverstone Yarns, a Canadian company nestled in the West Kootenay Region of British Columbia. I’ll take a pic when I’m finished. Do check out Vogue’s Spring/Summer 2018 issue for more lace projects.
