Years ago taking an art class, I was lucky enough to try a printmaking method known as linocut. A sharp tool cuts a design in linoleum pieces, and then it’s used to block print paper or even fabric. It requires a great deal of skill to cut a design into the hard surface of linoleum. This beautiful shawl by Brooklyn Tweed is aptly named “Linocut“. It so reminds me of this printmaking method, with its precise lines of lacework. Geometric splendour!
